Member Status: This field allows the chapter to keep ‘richer’, pertinent data concerning each member’s position in accordance with your National Headquarters. Member status count is a critical component of billing from headquarters. Several fees are assessed based on Active Member Status headcounts. Common member status options are: New Member, Initiate, Alumnus, Depledged, Other and Expelled.
Billing Status: This field determines whether or not a member should receive the automated charges each billing period. The only options are Active and Inactive. Active Billing Status means that a member is actively being charged automatically each billing period. Inactive Billing Status means that a member is no longer receiving the automated charges. This may be because they are temporarily inactive or abroad.
Note:
Billing Status has no effect on a member’s status with your national headquarters. Headquarters only uses Member Status for their purposes. When necessary to update one field, be sure to review the other.
